Mrs. Anna Lois Baker, 84, of Orlando, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018 at her home.
Born January 8, 1934, in McKinney, Anna was a daughter of the late Willie Thomas and Ada Yocum Sears. She was a former employee of Genesco Shoe Company in Danville. Anna enjoyed embroidering, quilting, baking and reading. She was an Elvis Presley and Conway Twitty fan, and a member of the Lighthouse Assembly of God.
Survivors include a son, William “Billy” Cledis Baker of Mt.Vernon; daughter, Sharon Lovell (Michael) of Orlando; four grandchildren, Kami Lovell Phillips (Doug), Michael Anthony Lovell (Rebecca), William Christopher and Joshua Baker; and one great grandchild, Jasper Earl Lovell.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cledis Baker; three brothers, Clyde Paul Sears, James Sears, and Delmer Yocum; and three sisters, Sally Adkins, Hazel Ramsey, and Alma Adkins.
Funeral services were Saturday, Oct. 20, at Cox Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with Tim Hampton and Bro. Shannon Franklin officiating. Burial followed in the Cresthaven Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Stuart Curtis, Douglas Phillips, Michael Lovell, Michael Anthony Lovell, Thomas Curtis and Tim Heselton. Honorary pallbearers were Tammy Goins, Theresa Heselton, Jimmy Sears, Kimberly Young, Cathy Meadows and Donna Peek.
