The inaugural Sam Singleton Memorial Scholarship Shoot will be held Saturday, Oct. 20 at Cedar Creek Sportsman Club, Hwy. 150 East.

Registration for the event starts at 8:30 a.m.

The scholarship shoot includes Traps (rounds of 25 + 25 bonus round based on score in first 25); Archery (target and 3D classes); Youth (ages 9-18) and Adult Classes.

Prizes will be given in each age class. 4-H rules will apply.

Fees for archery are $15 per event and the fees for trap are $20 for round of 25.

Singleton, a Longshots 4-H Shooting Club member, had just finished his eighth-grade year at Lincoln County Middle School when he passed away in June in an accident on his family’s farm. He was 13 years old.
