Congratulations to Amanda and Josh Tolar on the safe arrival of their baby girl, Mara Isabella, born on September 20, 2018. Bill and Dorothy Tucker are the proud grandparents along with the Tolar family.

Everyone who went to Memorial High School and Lincoln County High School, I am sure knew Darrel Story. He passed away last week. Our thoughts go out to his family.

The weather has sure changed for the cooler. I saw everyone going for heavier clothing at church Sunday.

Remember all the sick in your prayer especially Gloria J. Sayler, who is very sick at this time.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cornett of Indiana visited Classie Goetz this past weekend. She is glad to hear from any past friends.

Mrs. Mary F. (Schmitz) Miller, a past resident of Ottenheim, passed away last week. Her family lived on Schmitz Lane and was very well known. She came to the Ottenheim Labor Day gathering in September. I talked to her, she said she knew it would be her last trip home here and she wanted to come knowing she was very sick.

Donald Ross, who a lot of you knew, passed away last week in Ohio.

The fields are beginning to look bare as the crops are being harvested. The trees don’t seem to be turning very much, but as the weather changes so will everything. Walnut trees have very few nuts this year. I don’t remember them blooming very much in the spring. The persimmons that are early are very good and plentiful. The gardens are producing a few things but will soon be at an end.

The snakes are still out, my daughter found one in her yard this past week.

As times pass so do all things, it’s a reminder God still has a hand in everything.
