Natasha Elizabeth Leigh Benedict, 18, of Kings Mountain, passed unexpectedly, along with her unborn son, Samuel Lee Benedict, on Wednesday, October 3, 2018.

Born Sunday, November 7, 1999, in Somerset, she was the daughter of Michael Lee Benedict and Natalie Watters. Natasha was currently a student and worked at Cattleman’s Restaurant in Danville. She previously played soccer, ran track, and played volleyball in high school. She enjoyed dressing up, shopping, hunting, singing and dancing. Natasha was a praise and worship leader at Victory Christian Fellowship in Somerset.

Natasha leaves behind her father, Michael Lee Benedict (Penny) of Stanford; mother, Natalie Watters of Campbellsville; one brother, William Michael Benedict of Campbellsville; paternal grandparents, Michael Davis Benedict (Tina) of New Paris, Ohio, and Lisa Pierce (Tony) of Science Hill; maternal grandparents, JR and Billie Jean Smith of Somerset; paternal great-grandparents, Melvin and Drucilla Benedict of Kings Mountain; maternal great-grandmother, Mabel Stringer of Vonore, Tennessee; one step-brother, Cody Wilcher of Stanford; one step-sister, Kayla Thompson of Stanford; and many other extended family and friends who mourn her passing.

Funeral services were Monday, Oct. 8, 2018 at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Taylor and Pastor Mark Harrell officiating the service. Burial followed in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.

Michael Lee Benedict, Jeffrey Benedict, Mike Benedict, Bobby King, Dylan King, William Michael Benedict, and JR Smith served as active pallbearers. William Knight served as honorary pallbearer.
