The family of Bill Ed Leedy will be holding an open house celebration to honor his 90th birthday on Saturday, Oct. 13, from 1 to 4 p.m. at The Ballroom above The Bluebird Restaurant at 202 West Main Street, Stanford.

Leedy was born on Oct. 13, 1928, in Benham, Kentucky, but has spent most of his life in Lincoln County. He graduated from Stanford High School and taught school at both Stanford and Lincoln County High Schools. He was a longtime football coach and also coached basketball and golf.
