The First Missionary Baptist Church, Martin Luther King Street, will have its annual homecoming and basket dinner on Sunday, Aug. 26. The 3 p.m. guests will be Elder Robert Coulter, Jr., and congregation of Boneyville Baptist Church. Rev. Floyd Raglin, pastor.
The Women’s Bible Class will be held at First Missionary Baptist Church every Tuesday at 6 p.m. Mrs. Rosalyn Wilkinson is the instructor-teacher.
Sympathy is extended to the family of Mr. John “Snooks” Davis. The funeral was held on Monday. He is the son of Mr. “Bunny” Davis.
Congratulations to James and Christy Scott on their marriage. The ceremony was held at Boneyville Baptist Church, with Elder Robert Coulter, Jr., performing the wedding. The reception was held at the Bethel AME Church. Rev. Reginald Pullums is the pastor.
Mrs. Deborah Moran remains a patient at the Williamsburg Rehab Health Center. Anyone that would like to send her a “get well” card, the address is 287 North 11th Street, Williamsburg, KY 40769, Room 129. She is so far from home, she would appreciate hearing from family and friends.
Mr. George “Budd” Reid is doing a little better after having a fall. He is now recuperating at his home with his wife, Mrs. Christine Reid. His two daughters, Wanda and Judy, are also helping out.
Mrs. Theresa Hunn underwent surgery. She is the wife of Richard Hunn. They are from Pensacola, Fla., and visited with Mrs. Pauline Hunn and Mrs. Shirley Jackson.
Ms. Barthenia Brown, Mrs. Dorothy Napier and Mrs. Sara Givens attended the birthday party of Mr. John T. Mayes of Harrodsburg. The party was held at the Lions Park.
Ms. Elizabeth Garr and daughter Latroya Garr of Louisville visited Mrs. Marcia Carson and Mrs. Margaret Brown.
Dr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Suter and son, Lavante, of Fort Wayne, Ind., recently visited Mr. and Mrs. David Caldwell. They also met up with his grandmother, Mrs. Sara Givens, his aunt, Ms. Barthenia Brown, and his parents, Elder and Mrs. Robert Coulter.
