The deadline to register for the PRIME TIME Family Reading Time Program is Friday, Aug. 24.

The South Lincoln County Family Resource Center will be hosting the six-week program at Waynesburg Elementary School beginning Tuesday, Sept. 4.

PRIME TIME is a unique humanities-based and family-focused program proven to help children succeed academically and bond families around reading.

Weekly storytelling, reading and discussion sessions featuring award-winning children’s books are conducted by scholars and storytellers.

Families will help their children enjoy reading and sharing ideas, explore topics such as community, fairness and determination, learn more about community and public library resources and plant the seeds for future academic success.

Free transportation, child care and snacks/meals will be provided.

There will also be plenty of door prizes!

All programs are free and open to the public.
