Three Stanford Lions received the Melvin Jones Award, the fourth highest honor that a Lion can be recognized for, from the Lions Clubs International.

Lion Virda Hendry, Lion Carrie McKenzie and Lion Sharon Woods were honored in Bowling Green in May for their years of service and dedication to the Stanford Lions Club.

The three ladies have served in many different positions and have helped to keep the Stanford Lions Club strong and one of the most recognized clubs in the state.
