Gordon Kelley Doughty, 83, of Crab Orchard, passed away Tuesday, August 7, at the Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford.
Kelley was born in Crab Orchard, on September 13, 1934. He was a son of the late Charles Harrison Doughty and Dora (Munsie) Doughty. Kelley was a retired maintenance employee of the Ford Motor Company and was a member of Watts Chapel Baptist Church, the United Auto Worker Union and Masonic Lodge # 576. He enjoyed clogging and square dancing.
Survivors include his sons, Gordon K. Doughty, Jr., Alvin W. Doughty and wife Janice, and Roger K. Doughty and wife Carol; daughter, Karen Lee Smith; stepson, Michael Taylor and wife Jackie; stepdaughters, Melody Taylor Hollingsworth and Michele Taylor Hughes and husband Mike; sisters, Treva Brickey, and Connie and husband Rodney Sims; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Kelley was preceded in death by three brothers, Augustus, John William and Russell Doughty; and two grandchildren, Evan Doughty and Calvin Smith.
Pallbearers were Gordon K. Doughty, Jr., Alvin W. Doughty, Roger K. Doughty, Mike Taylor, Chris Tubesing and Rodney Sims.
Funeral services were Sunday, August 12 at McKnight Funeral Home with Bro. Dan Gutenson officiating. Burial was in the Crab Orchard Cemetery.
Visitation was prior to the funeral service on Sunday, at McKnight Funeral Home.
