Jessie Dennis Grigsby, 88, of Hustonville,  passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. 

Born November 13, 1929, in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Ben and Elsie Holt Dennis, and the widow of Paschel “Pack” Grigsby. She was a retired employee of both Palm Beach Inc. and Winter Haven Senior High School in Winter Haven, Fla. She sang with the Gospel Messengers Trio for 15 years and was a member of South Fork Baptist Church where she sang in the church choir. 

Survivors include her son, Ted Grigsby (Sheila) of Stanford; one sister, Bonnie Denham of Stanford; one granddaughter, Alison Grigsby; and two great-grandchildren, Austin Grigsby and Cole Smith. 

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Edwin, Charles, and Bennie Dennis. 

Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today (Thursday, June 7) at Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Matt Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford.
