FREE Lunches
FREE lunches will be available at McKinney Baptist Church for ages 18 and younger each weekday, June 4 through August 10 with the exception of July 4th. The lunches may be picked up in the parking lot at 11:30 a.m.

Democratic Woman’s Club to meet
The Democratic Woman’s Club will meet Thursday, June 14 at 5 p.m. at the Kentucky Depot Restaurant. The meeting will focus on support for upcoming elections. Judge Janet Booth will be the speaker. All women are welcome.

LC Farmers Market to open
Lincoln County Farmers Market will be open June 18 through October 31 at the Veterans Ball Park (less that 1/4 mile on Hwy 150 going toward Crab Orchard on left) The market will be open Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. or sold out. LC Retired Teachers to meet
All members of Lincoln County Retired Teachers are encouraged to attend the next meeting on Tuesday, June 12, at 11:30 a.m. at the Lincoln County Senior Citizens Center for a potluck luncheon. There will be a memorial service for the families of those members who passed away during the past year. We will also honor the Lincoln County AARP Grandparent Essay winner and install new officers for the upcoming year. For more information, you may call (606) 365-9408.

Rocky Ford community meal
Rocky Ford Masonic Lodge #765 will host a friend to friend community potluck meal on Saturday, June 9. We will eat at 5:30 p.m. so bring a dish with something in it and join us for a delicious meal and good fellowship. Located on Hwy. 78 West nine miles from Hustonville.

Stanford Cruise-In
The Stanford Cruise-In will be held Friday, June 15 from 5 – 8:30 p.m., on Main Street in Stanford. This is hosted by the Lincoln Masonic Lodge #60, Blue Knights of KY XI and the Fort Logan F.O.P. Music by Charlie Napier, “D.J. to the Cars!”

Kentucky Chautauqua: Adolph Rupp
Kentucky Chautauqua: Adolph Rupp on Thursday, June 7 at 6 p.m. at the Lincoln County Public Library. During the 42 years he coached the University of Kentucky men’s basketball team, Adolph Rupp raised the game to near-religious status in the Commonwealth. Rupp’s teams won 880 games, four national championships, and one Olympic gold medal.

Second annual youth fishing derby
The second annual William “Bill” Martin Youth Fishing Derby will be held Saturday, June 9 at Logan Hubble Park from 9 a.m. to noon. Please bring your poles and fishing bait. Prizes will be given to each participant 15 and under. Anyone 16 or over will need a fishing license. Heavy rain and storms cancel this event.

Hustonville Class of 1973 reunion
Hustonville Class of 1973 will hold its 45th reunion on Saturday, June 9 at 6 p.m. at the Kentucky Depot Restaurant. For more information, contact Beverly Russell Dunn at (606) 346-2135.

Just Horsin’ Around
The Just Horsin’ Around 12th annual fun show will be held Saturday, June 9 starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Brodhead Fairgrounds. Entry fee -Classes 2-26 is $10. Entry fee – Classes 27-28 is $20.
