History comes to life in Stanford this weekend, with the third annual Logan’s Fort Siege of 1777 Reenactment, set for Thursday through Sunday, May 17-20.

Throughout the weekend, there will be living history demonstrations, a Native American encampment, settler’s encampment, Sutler’s Village, food vendors, children’s activities and tractor/horse and wagon rides taking place around the Fort, located at the end of Martin Luther King Street in Stanford. 

Admission is $5 (Friday and Saturday) and free to children 12 and under. All proceeds will fund future events at the fort.

Thursday, May 17

• Annual T. J. Hill IV History Walk — 6 p.m. Meet at Willys Overland Garage (corner of Mill and Main Street). Rain cancels. 

Friday, May 18

• Special Dusk Battle — 8 p.m. Park opens to public at 6 p.m.

Saturday, May 19

• Park opens — 10 a.m.

• “Kentucky’s American Indian History” by Tressa Brown — 10:30 a.m.

• “Life in Central Kentucky from Ice Age to Contact” by Randall Carrier — 11:30 a.m.

• “The Court Martial of Daniel Boone” by Eddie Carter — 12:30 p.m.

• Reenactment of the Siege of 1777 — 2 p.m.

• Live Auction — 6:30 p.m. Public welcome.

Sunday, May 20

• Park opens — 10 a.m.

• 18th Century Church Service — 10:30 a.m.
