Evelyn M. Wren, 69, of Waynesburg, formerly of Lowell, Indiana, passed Monday, February 5, 2018 at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington.

Born Wednesday, March 31, 1948, in Whitesburg (Letcher County), Ky., she was the daughter of the late Isaac Campbell and Frances Louise Tucker Campbell. Her loving husband, of 44 ½ years, whom she married June 4, 1973, is James Cassidy “Jim” Wren of Waynesburg. Evelyn was an LPN at Franciscan Health in Hammond, Indiana. She was of the Baptist faith. Evelyn was an excellent cook whom enjoyed making artificial silk arrangements, and loved to garden.

In addition to her husband, Evelyn leaves behind one sister, Kay Ann Brownfield (Russell) of Lowell, Indiana; one nephew, Isaac Branson Brownfield of Lowell, Indiana; and her little buddy “Betty”, Vinita Carter of Waynesburg.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Campbell and Buddy Campbell; two sisters, Mary Margaret Connor and Nancy Faye Campbell.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2018 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home with James “Jim” England officiating the service. Burial will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Russ Brownfield, Isaac Brownfield, Greg Carter, Steve Pruitt, Jared England and Anthony Cox will serve as active pallbearers.

The visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight (Thursday, Feb. 8) at the funeral home.

Fox & Friend Funeral Home, Stanford, is entrusted with Evelyn’s arrangements.
