Thomas Wesley Ray, 22, of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, Jan. 28 in Paris, Ky.

He was born on August 24, 1995, in Fayette County to Willey Ray of Garrard County and Ada Newby Ray (Stevon) of Lincoln County. He was a graduate of Lincoln County High School and owned and established Paint Werks.

Also surviving is a brother, Brandon Montgomery (Malorie) of Nicholasville; sister, Kacy Montgomery (Kenny) of Stanford; a special girlfriend, Emily Long; two nephews, Hudson Archer and Lane Montgomery; and longtime friends, Alex Moberly and Matthew Mendez.

He was preceded in death by grandfather, Taylor Newby; and grandparents, Dwight and Elizabeth Ray.

Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 2018 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel of Lancaster with Rev. Bradley Caudill officiating. Burial will follow in Lancaster Cemetery.

Visitation will be tonight (Thursday, Feb. 1) from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be Alex Moberly, Matthew Mendez, Paul Cain, Erik Loveless, Greg Sharron and Mason Sharron.
