STANFORD — Another new face has entered the race for Lincoln County’s District Four Magistrate seat.

David Tyler McGuffey, a Democrat, filed to run for the seat, this week.

McGuffey joins two others currently vying for the District Four seat, including incumbent Republican Joe Stanley and newcomer Tim Adams, a Democrat.

The deadline to file for partisan races in 2018 is 4 p.m. Jan. 30. The primary election will be May 22.

Candidates for non-partisan races (city legislative bodies and mayors) have until Aug. 14 to file. The general election will be held Nov. 6.
