Mickey Ryan Puumala, 21, died Monday, January 8, 2018, in an automobile accident on Highway 150 East of Stanford.

Mickey was born October 1, 1996, in Lexington. He is the son of Mickey Andrew Puumala of Crab Orchard and Holly Swanstrom Hassel of Stillwater, Oklahoma. Mickey was a member of the baptist faith and had previously attended The Church at Cedar Creek. Mickey was a mechanic who loved working on trucks, cars and any type of small engines. He also enjoyed archery.

Survivors include one son, Garrett David Sowder; companion, Sierra-Dawn Sowder; dad, Mickey Andrew Puumala; mom, Holly Swanstrom Hassel; half brother, Andrew Swanstrom; paternal grandparents, Marshall and Nancy Puumala; maternal grandparents, Dexter and Denise Swanstrom; several aunts, uncles and cousins; as well as many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 12, at The Church at Cedar Creek located at 5787 Highway 150 East, Stanford, with Dr. Jefferson Calico officiating. Burial will follow in the Crab Orchard Cemetery.

Visitation is prior to the service from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday, January 12 at The Church at Cedar Creek.
