Kathleen “Kathy” Jufer Hume, 76, of Stanford, passed away Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017 at U.K. Hospital in Lexington.

Born October 5, 1941, in Ottenheim, Kathy was a daughter of the late Louis and Martha Douglas Hume. She was the widow of T.J. “Tuck” Hume and a member of Stanford Baptist Church. Kathy was an avid flower gardener who enjoyed the outdoors and loved to cook.

Survivors include two daughters, Rena Hume Edwards of Danville and Monica Hume Godbey (John) of Stanford; two brothers, Robert Jufer of Waynesburg and Fred Jufer (Linda) of Lexington; one sister, Betty Yontz (Harold) of Cincinnati, Ohio; three grandchildren, Stephanie Hume, Logan Edwards Hampton and Taylor Edwards; one great-grandchild, Jayden King; and one soon to be great-grandchild, Tripp Hampton.

Funeral services were Monday, Jan. 1, 2018 at Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Gregory Hancock and Rev. Dan Gutenson officiating. Burial followed in Reform Cemetery in Ottenheim.
