Pat “Shorty” Peck, 90

Pat “Shorty” Peck, age 90, of Pettus Court in Stanford, passed away peacefully Saturday, Sept. 23, at Stanford Care & Rehabilitation.

Born Sunday, April 24, 1927, in Franklin, Ohio, Pat was a son of the late John and Ethel Cecil Peck. He was the widower of Willow Dean Messinger Peck, whom he married September 1, 1949 and who preceded him in death June 23, 2010. Pat was a US Navy veteran, and retired from Corning Glass, where he worked in the Maintenance Department. Pat was a faithful member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church where he previously served as deacon. In his spare time he enjoyed wood working, gardening, and playing the French harp.

Pat leaves behind two daughters, Patrice Todd (Mark) and Sherrie Fitzpatrick (Mike) both of Stanford; one son, Gary Wayne Peck (Linda) of Waynesburg; five grandchildren, Shane Peck (Angela), Joshua Peck, Clint Bellinger, Berek Bodner (Ashley), and Robert Bodner (Joni); 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.

In addition to his wife and parents, Pat was preceded in death by four brothers, Elbert, Richard, Charles (infant), and Joe Peck; and one sister, Helen Hineline.

Funeral services were Wednesday, Sept. 27, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Adamson and Bro. Brad King officiating the service. Burial followed in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Shane Peck, Joshua Peck, Berek Bodner, Robert Bodner, Noah Peck, Drafton Peck, and Riley Bodner. Honorary pallbearers were Clint Bellinger and Pat’s great-granddaughters and great-great grandson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions suggested to Calvary Hill Baptist Church, c/o Elevator Fund, PO Box 482, Stanford, KY 40484.

Fox & Friend Funeral Home, Stanford, was entrusted with Pat’s arrangements.
