STANFORD – Wilderness Road Guest Houses & Rooms is pleased to announce Joyce Cooper, former guest services manager, will replace Candice Smith as guesthouse manager. Smith has accepted a position with Wilderness Road’s parent company, UTG Insurance.

Cooper has served as a valuable member of the Wilderness Road and Kentucky Soaps & Such teams since 2016, and became Wilderness Road’s guest services manager in early 2017.

“I love working here because I get the opportunity to meet and develop friendships with people I wouldn’t have met otherwise,” Cooper said. “I always want guests to be taken care of like they were in my own home, so I’m looking forward to continuing that work in my new position.”
