The Lincoln County Middle School girls continued their domination of opponents by ripping West Jessamine with three straight wins by margins of 35 points or higher.

The Lady Eagles’ sixth-graders were the ones notching the 35-point victory, getting Lincoln started off with a 50-15 victory over West’s sixth-grade team.

Talynne Shearer and Chelsea Barnes combined for 31 points to lead the Lady Eagles. Shearer and Barnes both had as many points individually as West did as a team, with Shearer pouring in a game-high 16 points and Barnes following right behind her with 15 points.

Makayla Greer contributed eight points in the win, Ellyann Sims added five points, and Maecey Carrier, Angel Denny, and Tori Wilburn had two points apiece.

Lincoln posted its biggest margin of victory in game two of the tripleheader with West Jessamine, rolling to a 56-7 win in the seventh-grade game.

Lincoln would see double-digit scoring from multiple players in all three of the “W’s” with West. 

Pacing the seventh-grade Lady Eagles were Peyton Boyd and Emily Estes with a combined 21 points. Boyd led the team scoring with 11 points and Estes was right on her heels with 10 points. 

Chloe Ralston and Chloee Dunn both finished with eight points in the win, Talynne Shearer scored six points, Lakyn York had three points, and Tessa Staton, Mercedes Hensley, Barnes, Sims, and Greer each had two.

Claudia Padgett posted Lincoln’s high score for the night, swishing the nets for a game-high 18 points in the eighth-grade team’s 64-22 win against West Jessamine.

There would be a trio of Lady Eagles putting up double digits in the eighth-grade game. Joining Padgett in double figures were Ally Lynn, who finished with 12 points, and Haleigh Ellison, who scored 10 points.

Rounding out Lincoln’s scoring were Abby Lane and Kelby Petrey with eight points each, Estes with six points, and Boyd with two points.
