The Lincoln County High School boys and girls golf teams are taking a hand in helping build for golf’s future by hosting a free golf clinic for kids on Friday, Aug. 11, at the Dix River Golf Club on U.S. 27, north of Stanford.

Whether a player is swinging the club for the first time or looking to refine his or her skills, the free clinic will be a fun way for kids to learn the lifelong game of golf. 

The clinic, which will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, is open to any interested school-age kid.

Bill Sergent, the men’s and women’s golf coach at Union College, will be conducting the camp.
