Educational Fund honors its scholarship recipients

- THOSE LINCOLN COUNTY students who are currently or have benefited from the Lincoln County Educational Fund scholarships are: front – Misti Simpson, Karrigan Harlow, Danielle Adams, Kayla Adams and Emily Vanoy; and back – Haydon Hale, Jacob Caudill, Matthew Long, Israel Mullins, Nathan Mattingly and Ben Estes.
The Lincoln County Educational Fund, Inc. held its annual banquet at the Kentucky Depot in Stanford.
The purpose of the annual banquet is to hear from the scholarship recipients. Several spoke on their college experience and plans of future endeavors. Those recipients were: Misti Simpson, Karrigan Harlow, Danielle Adams, Kayla Adams, Emily Vanoy, Haydon Hale, Jacob Caudill, Matthew Long, Israel Mullins, Nathan Mattingly and Ben Estes.
For the 2016-2017 school year, the Lincoln County Educational Fund was able to assist 50 students with scholarships that were former students of the Lincoln County High School and Fort Logan School. The Fund continues to need financial support to further the goal of assisting local high school graduates in easing the financial burden of college tuition.
