Edna Mae (Brummett) Middleton, 93

Edna Mae (Brummett) Middleton, 93, of Crab Orchard, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 1, 2017, at home with her family by her side.
Edna was born in Brodhead, KY on June 19, 1923, a daughter of the late Nate and Sallie (Bishop) Brummett. She was the widow of Ray Middleton who preceded her in death on February 14, 1992. Edna was a member of the New Hope First Church of God and was a very kind hearted woman who helped raise many children in her lifetime. She truly loved babysitting and was known as Granny to many of those she kept. She also enjoyed gardening, canning and most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Edna leaves behind her two sons, Tony Middleton and wife Kathy and Jimmie Middleton both of Crab Orchard; a sister, Mary Coffey of Arlington Heights, Ohio; two brothers, Dale and Frances Brummett both of Crab Orchard; 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Edna was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila Middleton; six brothers, Denver, Bob, Shelby, Dempsey, Donald and Bernard Brummett; and two sisters, Geneva Delaney and Myrtle Helton.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 6 at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Andy Saylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. on Friday, May 5 at McKnight Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Stephanie Crowder, Jimmie Middleton, Bradlee Henson, Skyler Quinn, Earl and Jesse Abee, Jesse Coffey and Timmy Brummett. Honorary pallbearers will be all of her grandchildren.
