Caroline M. Collins, 77

Caroline M. Collins, 77, of Crab Orchard, passed away Thursday, April 20, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Hospital in Danville.
Caroline was born in Stanford, KY on August 13, 1939. She was a daughter of the late William Shirley and Pearlea (VonLinger) Tillett and the widow of William Houston Collins, Sr. Caroline was a member of the Philadelphia United Baptist Church. She loved to fish especially for bluegill and shellcrackers. Her favorite place to fish was the old Broughtontown Lake before its closing. Caroline loved and cared for her family deeply.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Lee and husband Joe Murphy of Stanford; sons, Rusty Banta and wife Becky of Frenchburg and Willie Collins and wife Jennifer of Stanford; brothers, William “Bill” Tillett, Hurtson Tillett and wife Sherry, Dewey Tillett, and Phillip Tillett and wife Liz; sister, Mary Louise Murray; seven grandchildren, Winona, Angie, Samantha, Danny, Kevin, Gea Ann and Isabelle; and 13 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Caroline was preceded in death by a grandson, Tyler Banta; two brothers, James and Ray Tillett; and a great grandson, Hunter Childers.
Funeral services were Saturday, April 22, at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dan Gutenson officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Church of Christ Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Phillip Tillett, Danny Herrington, Jr., Terry Murray, Phillip Tillett, Jr., Doug Hopkins and Brian Tillett. Honorary pallbearers were Dale Smith, William Childers, Keith Denny and Harold Ping.
