April 28 is to be observed as Workers Memorial Day

Friday, April 28 is a national day of recognition for all workers who have lost their lives on the job. This is Workers Memorial Day.
At 6:30 p.m. on April 28, there will be a balloon release in honor of those individuals followed by a ceremony at 7 p.m. Both will be held at the Garrard County Middle School Gymnasium, 304 West Maple Ave., Lancaster, in honor of Grant Thomas Oakley, AND all other WORKERS from our great state who have fallen victim to an on the job incident.
If you are a/an mother, father, sister, brother, grandparent, aunt, uncle, friend, EMPLOYEE, EMPLOYER please come to this event as it is a very important one and will be the FIRST EVER in Kentucky and will be the main one for Region 4 which includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. Our goal is to fill the gym.
