The Lincoln County baseball team ended a five-game losing streak Friday in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
After losses to Apollo, Muhlenberg County and Boyd County, the Bat Patriots came back to knock off Knox Central 11-9 in their final game of the Cal Ripken Experience.
Lincoln opened the season on a four-game win streak, beating Richmond Model, Rockcastle County, East Jessamine and Russell County, before losing at Danville, 8-5. The Bat Patriots fell 4-3 to Madison Central at home before making the Spring Break trip to Myrtle Beach.
Lincoln fell to Apollo 6-1, Muhlenberg 6-3 and Boyd 8-7.
The Bat Pats will open a four-game home stand Friday at 6 p.m. against Wayne County.
