Maurice Theodore Irvin, 95, of Stanford, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Stanford Care and Rehab.
Born August 11, 1921, in Lancaster, Maurice was a son of the late Theodore and Ora Lee Wheeler Irvin. He was a retired employee of Cowden’s Manufacturing where he worked as regional maintenance supervisor. He was a past member of Lincoln Lodge #60 and a member of Stanford Christian Church. Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Martha Davidson Irvin of Stanford; one son, David Irvin (Jo) of Wilmore; one sister, Goldene Burton of Stanford; one grandson, Sammy Grimes (Kim); and three great-grandchildren, Matthew Grimes (Kendra), Hannah K. Grimes and Sarah B. Grimes. 
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Receon Irvin. 
Funeral services are at 1 p.m. today (Thursday, Feb. 23) at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford with Reverend Jim Baughman officiating. Burial will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford.
Active pallbearers are Mike Fitzpatrick, Marvin Marshbanks, Jimbo Adams, Sammy Grimes, Matthew Grimes and Brent Cain.
