STANFORD — A Stanford woman was killed and her husband and daughter suffered life-threatening injuries after a one-vehicle wreck Monday morning.

Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post, was called to the accident on Ky. 78 before 8:30 a.m., according to KSP Trooper Robert Purdy.

Jamie M. Harrison, 43, of Stanford was driving east on Ky. 78 in a 1994 Chevrolet pickup truck when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to drive off the road and overturn in a field, according to KSP.

Harrison’s wife, Bobbie J. Harrison, 40, and their 15-year-old daughter were passengers in the vehicle.

Purdy said he is unsure what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle at this time. 

Responders from KSP, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Lincoln County EMS and Lincoln County Fire & Rescue were called to the scene of the accident. 

Bobbie Harrison and her daughter were both ejected from the vehicle, Purdy reported, while Jamie Harrison had to be extricated from the vehicle. 

According to the release, all three passengers were transported to the University of Kentucky Hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

When they arrived at the hospital, Bobbie Harrison was pronounced dead by the Fayette County Coroner. 

Purdy said he didn’t know the condition of the other two passengers Monday afternoon, but believed Jamie Harrison was able to talk.

Investigators hope to figure out what caused Jamie Harrison to lose control by talking with him, Purdy said. 

The investigation is being conducted by Trooper Chris Damron.
