Senator-elect Girdler was named as a member of the Senate standing committees on Appropriations and Revenue, Banking and Insurance, and Economic Development, Tourism, and Labor. He was also selected as a member of the Budget Review Subcommittee on Economic Development, Natural Resources, and Environmental Protection. Additionally, Girdler was chosen as a member of the Capitol Projects and Bond Oversight statutory committee.

“I am happy to welcome Senator-elect Girdler to the Kentucky General Assembly and he will be a great addition to our Senate Majority Caucus,” Senator Stivers said. “I expect Senator-elect Girdler will be a valuable asset on all of the committees to which he has been assigned, but I am especially excited to see what he will bring to the Banking and Insurance Committee given his experience as an insurance professional.”
