For the past three Sundays, different people have been talking via video about the various programs our church has to offer. Pam Cook spoke about the unique dinner get-togethers small groups of families do. Evonna McGuffey spoke about the music ministry. Sunday, Nov. 27 Eric Wooldridge spoke about his involvement in the Youth Ministry. We invite you, if you have no other commitments, to join us and see what Pleasant View is all about.
The message for Sunday, Nov. 27 was “Limitless Living: Reconciliation” from 2 Cor. 5:18-21. God has no limitations. We, however, do; God wants to pour Himself into us. Personal relationships with others is one way God wants to empower us. This can happen in three ways: the message of Christmas, the ministry of reconciliation, and the message of Peace.
Jesus is the one who reconciled us to God. Because of sin, we have a chasm between us and God. Nothing we can do can heal the breech. Jesus, however, did that for us. Through His shed blood, He was the perfect sacrifice. Our trusting in Him heals the distance between us and God.
As believers, we have a job to do to help others learn about and accepting Jesus (v. 20).  We as believers are ambassadors to the world (an awesome and humbling job). Through our witness, we help others to reconcile to God and begin a wonderful relationship with Him. We must be careful, however.
REMEMBER:  “Be careful little hands what you do, be careful little feet where you go, be careful little mouth what you say.” Because someone is always watching you!!
Jesus is the “Prince of Peace”. Following Jesus brings this completeness of peace and forgiveness with God and others. Pursue God on an everyday journey and our relationship with others will be fulfilling.
“Be forgiving; don’t borrow trouble; seek God; and pursue reconciliation,”Bro. Kyle said as he concluded his message.
The Sunday evening service was the “Hanging of the Greens”, a very beautiful and meaningful story of how our Christmas traditions came to us. This was told through words and songs.
