The Lincoln County Historical Society received a Kentucky History Award in Education from the Kentucky Historical Society. The award recognized the group’s oral history project. LCHS members helped to preserve their city and county’s oral history of the 1950s through the 1980s by gathering and digitizing decades-old oral history recordings. They also transcribed them and made those transcriptions available on the LCHS website.
