STANFORD – A man was arrested Saturday night after an alleged verbal argument with a woman escalated and resulted in her injury.
Frankie A. McKee, 59, of Twin Oaks Road in Nancy, was arrested Oct. 29 and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment for allegedly putting a female in danger of serious physical injury or death.
According to arrest records, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Sgt. Ryan Kirkpatrick was dispatched to a “domestic situation” at 2740 Ky. 328 W. at about 11 p.m. Saturday night.
Kirkpatrick spoke with the female victim, April Pittman, who said McKee was driving and upset when he stopped the vehicle and she got out to look inside for his lost phone.
Pittman told law enforcement that the verbal argument continued but when she attempted to get back in the car, McKee accelerated the vehicle.
Pittman said she was partially in the car when it took off and threw her to the ground, according to the arrest citation.
Kirkpatrick said Pittman was transported to Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford where she was treated for an abrasion and contusion as well as asphalt burns on her legs and arms.
McKee was lodged in the Lincoln County Regional Jail. A $5,000 cash bond has been set.
