STANFORD – Lincoln County School officials are celebrating another year of state assessment scores after the results deemed the district “distinguished” and several schools saw an improvement in their overall scores. 
In-depth coverage of the 2015-16 Kentucky Performance Rating for Education Progress (K-PREP) results will be provided by the Interior Journal throughout the coming weeks as the district begins to assess individual schools’ performances. 
Here is an overview of the results from each school: 
• Crab Orchard Elementary had an overall score of 73, up 3 points from last year, and was classified as a distinguished, progressing and high performing school. 
• Highland Elementary had an overall score of 67.4, up from last year’s 59.8, and was classified as proficient/progressing.
• Hustonville Elementary had an overall score of 67.9, down from last year’s 79.1, and was classified as proficient. 
• McKinney Elementary had an overall score of 57.1, up from last year’s 55.6, and was classified as needs improvement, progressing and a focus school. 
• Stanford Elementary had an overall score of 66, up from last year’s 64.3 and was classified as needs improvement, progressing.
• Waynesburg Elementary had an overall score of 57.5, down from last year’s 60.7, and was classified as needs improvement, progressing. 
• McGuffey Sixth Grade Center had an overall score of 68.5, up from last year’s 58, and was classified as proficient, focus. 
• Lincoln County Middle School had an overall score of 70.9, up from last year’s 61.7, and classified as a distinguished, high performing, high progress school. 
• Lincoln County High School had an overall score of 81.1, up from last year’s 77.1 and was classified a distinguished school and designated a “School of Distinction.”
