KSP seeks public’s help gathering video footage in Lincoln death investigation

STANFORD – A 22-year-old woman was found dead in the woods on West Skyline Drive last Saturday and now Kentucky State Police are asking for the public’s help in locating video surveillance footage in several areas across Boyle and Lincoln counties.

KSP is asking the public to help them locate surveillance video – whether it be homeowners’, businesses’ or roadway footage – on Sept. 27, the day that Desiree Sparks’ was reported missing in Danville.

Sparks was reportedly last seen on Citation Drive in Danville in the company of an unknown male possibly driving a dark SUV. Her body was found days later by people riding four-wheelers in Lincoln County on Saturday, Oct. 1.

The cause of her death remains under investigation at this time but KSP asks for any surveillance from the following locations:

• U.S. Hwy. 127 near Citation Drive in Danville
• U.S. Hwy. 127 South to West Shelby Street in Junction City
• West Shelby Street to White Oak Road in Junction City

Police are also seeking video footage from Lincoln County on Ky. 698 between U.S. Hwy. 27 and McKinney on Sept. 27 through Oct. 1.
