The 52nd annual Ewell and Ella Saylor Hopkins reunion was held Saturday, Sept. 3 at the William Whitley House near Crab Orchard. Ella Saylor Hopkins died in 1960 and after Ewell’s death in 1965, their children determine to get together once a year for a reunion in remembrance of their parents. Their only surviving child, Eunice Hopkins Causey, was able to be with us this year and we were all very delighted to see her. We had 75 guests in attendance this year. After the blessing was given by Kevin Bandura, everyone enjoyed a large potluck dinner and some great fellowships.
