Virginia “Jenny” Denny Reynolds, 78, of Eubank, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 7, at the Somerwoods Nursing and Rehabilitation in Somerset.
Born Feb. 28, 1938, in Lincoln County, Jenny was a daughter of the late Charlie and Delia Rector Denny. She was the 13th of 17 children. Jenny was united in holy matrimony to Jon Gary Reynolds on Dec. 18, 1954 and from that union came seven children, Shelia, Mike, Rick, Eric, Debbie, Jennifer and Simon. She was a member of the Sunrise Baptist Church and was a retired waitress and assistant manager. Her hobbies included spending time with her family, gardening, and enjoying her flowers.
Jenny is survived by six children, Mike Reynolds (Judy) of Eubank, Rick Reynolds (Joy) of Mt. Vernon, Eric Reynolds (Amanda) of Science Hill, Debbie Edwards (Lonnie) of Somerset, Jennifer Reynolds (Scott) of Crab Orchard and Simon Reynolds (Rita) of Crab Orchard; three brothers, Brad, Joe and Junior Denny; and three sisters, Ruby Harness, Eva Jennings and Betty Harris. She was grandma to 16 grandchildren, Avery and Preston Reynolds, Jeremy Reynolds (Kristen), Torre Rogers (Anthony), Matthew Reynolds (Rachel), Jacob, Addison and Macy Reynolds, April Edwards (Jay), Amber Mounce (Jordan), Rachel and Sam Baldwin, Alley, Hayley and Seth Reynolds; and great grandma to Brooklyn and Leighton Reynolds, Kyndel Sutton, Sophie Reynolds, Grayson, Hensley, Adelyn, Chelsey and Brayden Mitchell.
Besides her parents, Jenny was preceded in death by her husband, Jon Gary Reynolds on July 28, 2006; a daughter, Shelia Gail Reynolds; a granddaughter, Ariel Edwards; five brothers, Carl, Edward, Loles, Jasper, and Ray; and five sisters, Willamae, Julie, Evelyn, Edith and Margie.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Sept. 13 at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals Chapel with Bro. Bradley Goforth and Bro. Rick Reynolds officiating.
