Lincoln XC hits ground running

The Lincoln County cross country teams kicked off their season in Liberty, competing in the Casey County Cross Country Festival.
The Lady Patriot varsity team of Mayci Godbey, Katherine Rowe and Logan Godbey placed third in the team competition, which was run in a relay format, a first for Lincoln’s competitors.
Host Casey County won the girls division, with Danville finishing as runner-up.
The team finish for the boys division was unavailable at press time.
In the middle school races, the Lincoln girls won the relay and the Lincoln boys were second.
Lincoln swept the elementary races by winning both the boys and girls races.
