The tipoff to the 2010-11 basketball season is still five months away, but that hasn’t meant a slow down in hoops action at LCHS.

Last week, 57 hopeful hoopsters dribbled, rebounded and shot their way around the LCHS gym as they participated in the 2010 Patriot Summer Basketball Camp.

The camp, which was under the direction of Lincoln boys coach Jeff Jackson, was open to campers in kindergarten through eighth grade who wanted to learn or improve upon their basketball skills. Jackson was assisted in the camp by coaches Brad Petrey, Shawn Conley, Dean Jones and Chris Ramey and former Patriot Trevor Edgington.

The daily sessions, which were conducted at LCHS, included individual fundamental instruction, free throw and hot shot competitions, self-improvement programs and guest lecturers.

Campers participating in the 2010 summer camp were: Joshua Hatfield, Trace Bowman, Carter Muse, Micah Chappell, David Mayberry, Michael Keith, Colton Ralston, Cruise Wilson, Bradley Adams, Dusty Johnson, Colin Greer, Gavin Skipper, Caleb Smith, Jackson Shelburne, Preston Barnes, Owen Barnes, Hanson Calfee, Kelby Petrey, Jason Petrey, Aaron Berry, Daniel Pence, Landon Meek, Blake Smith, Cameron Britton, Trey Cummins, Elijah Frye, Trent Martin, Levi Smith, Kelly Bastin, Blake Eldridge, Allie Harness, McKenzie Ross, Sarah Mayberry, Mason Moore, Tevin Halcomb, Garrett Clem, Luke Smith, Alex Yocum, Thomas Cooper, Hunter Jeffries, Cameron Walls, Ethan Shelburne, Chase Bastin, Skyler Leach, Tyler Patterson, Haydon Hale, Tanner Johnson, Trenton Johnson, Markus Luster, Timmy Taylor, Jacob Conway, Tate Harris, Dalton Godbey, Neil Conley, Zack Leigh, BJ Hoover and Casey Roberts.
