Obituary: John G. Howard, Sr., 66

John G. Howard, Sr., 66, of Junction City, died Thursday, March 4, at his residence.
Born Saturday, April 10, 1943, in Hyden, he was a son of the late Monroe and Alta Hoskins Howard. He was the former owner/operator of Howard Upholstery, co-owner of H & H Upholstery, a 1963 KSD graduate and a member of the Danville Deaf Baptist Mission.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Lee Carey Howard; son, John (Tracy) Howard, Jr. of Moreland; daughter, Kristi (Joseph) Howard-Smith; brother, Matt (Eva) Howard of Stanford; sister, Nancy Kidd of Bardstown; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were March 6 at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home. Burial was in Junction City Cemetery.
