Obituary: Homer Childers, 57
March 11, 2010

Homer Childers, 57, of Crab Orchard, died Monday, March 1, at Fort Logan Hospital.

Born Saturday, July 19, 1952, in Roxana, he was a son of the late Joseph Burley and Hettie Mae Shell Childers.

Survivors include brothers, James, Freddie (Dawn) and Joseph Burley (Lisa) Childers, Jr.; and sisters, Corrine (Rev. Philip) Zabala, Selena Childers and Sophia (Joseph) Critney.

Funeral services were March 5 at Philadelphia United Baptist Church in Brodhead. Burial was in Philadelphia Church Cemetery.

Fox Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
