Clayton Bassett Prewitt, 65, of Lancaster, died Saturday, Feb. 27, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

Born Dec. 17, 1944, in Lancaster, he was a son of the late Clayton Earl and Lola Catherine Clark Prewitt. He was a self employed drywaller and a member of the Christian faith.

Survivors include his wife, Clelly Preston Prewitt of Lancaster; a son, Justin Tyler Prewitt of Lancaster; and a daughter, Tawnya Katherine Prewitt of Lancaster.

A memorial service will be held Monday, March 8 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Ramsey Funeral Home. Cremation rites have been honored.

Ramsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
